Camping in Bear lake with the family

My first time camping and what a better place than Bear lake. Like a good Chilean the 11 am "leaving time " was more like 2 pm, so we drove my car with my 2 sisters, my son, my niece and lots and lots of goodies and unnecessarily things.People close to me know that I dislike driving due having only one good eye, so I drove until Logan and Vivi drove from Logan to Garden city. We rent a spot in a camping call KOA (very funny because in my country it is a slang word for the special language that the people in jail use lol) Everything was a challenge in this trip,"moritas " travel it is not an easy travel but of course a fun one. Tarek got sick between Logan and Garden city so we had to stop a couple of times for him to throw up :) in our return we solved the problem with a sick motion medicine. Fixing the tents was just so fun, not so complicated that I was expecting, hailee helped to set up the tents and Tarek just observed his aunts doing the work. I brought a charcoal grill and the meals were plan on this but on my surprise charcoal was banned to use on the camping due the fires on the area, so meals were very tricky to make. We got ready to swim and next challenge was found the lake LOL! we drove for hours north and south looking for the lake but by our surprise again the water had take the shores so was impossible to get access to the lake on the town :( so we went to the Marine to enjoyed the sunset and feed the fishes. Went it got dark Tarek continue saying "Go Home" and I new the next challenge was coming "Get Tarek inside the tent" but nothing that the personal DVD and a good movie couldn't achieved. The next 7 hours were very LONG, I thought it will be hot so I did not bring a sleeping bags just a few covers "wrong" we were freezing the whole night, thank goodness for Tarek ware wolf body that keep us kind of warm during the night. Next mistake not bringing a "Mattress" just Pads, I'm not sure if I'm too Old to camp but I keep turning all night to find comfort and stop my shoulder to scream pain alert, I don't remember been happy before because it was 7am but I was Lol! Next day we did do our home work better, and after asking around we were able to find the lake a 30 minutes from Garden city passing the Idaho Border in the North Shore lake. Oh what a beautiful lake, turquoise water , soft white sand and miles of shallow water for the children. On that day I was name the official babysitter on the lake because my sisters prefer the Sun,so I assume my role with Honors and we had so much fun with the kids. The trip was short but sweet and I will return better prepared in 2 weeks.

Nuestro primer camping en Bear Lake,un viaje de "Moritas" asi que un viaje lleno de sorpresas y muchas carcajadas de las leseras que hablamos. Como buenas Chilenas la partida se retraso 3 horas y las 11 am se transformaron en las 2pm. Y nos fuimos con dos ninos, 3 hermanas y muchas cositas ricas para comer y una tonelada de cosas innecesarias en el porta maleta :) Maneje de aqui a Logan y luego fue el turno de Vivi ya que con mi Ojito malo se me coplican los canones y las vueltas. En esas vueltas Tarek se enfermo y siguieron muchas paradas para que descansara y vomitara, a la vuelta ya nos preparamos mejor y le di una medicina para " Motion Sickness". Cuando llegamos al camping KOA jajaja si se llamaba asi como el lenguaje de los presos, me quede asombrada con las entretenciones del lugar. Manos a la obra con lo de las carpas donde la Pili y la Hailee obviamente nos dirigieron y el tarek solo miro jaja. Yo llevaba las comidas mas o menos prepradas para hacerlas en un grill de carbon que tengo, pues para mi sorpresa no se podia usar carbon por los repetidos incendios en el lugar, asi que la cosa siguio complicandose.Nos fuimos en busca de la playa y viajando por horas este y oeste, nos dimos cuenta que de la playa quedaba solo mucha mucha agua ya que se habia comido la orilla y era imposible el acceso a ellas :( no quedo de otra que ir a la marina a ver los peces y el atardecer, junto alas embarcaciones. En la nochecita la cosa se volvio a complicar porque a Tarek solo le gusta su cama y convencerlo de dormir en la carpa fue un desafio de campiones, al final su DVD portable y una buena pelicula hicieron la tarea. Las siguientes 7 horas fueron Extra requete largas. Como no cachaba de camping pense que haria calor en la noche y cueck nos morimos de frio con las frazadas que lleve, si no hubiera sido por el calorcito del lobo de mi hijo creo que no la hubieramos hecho. No lleve un colchon inflable pensando que con los pads que habia llevado seria suficiente y NOP no habia manera de dormir, no se si ya estoy viejita pero la espalda y mi hombro me gritaban "donde esta mi cama" y creo que nunca habia estado mas feliz de escuchar a los pajaritos que entre nos eran cuervos jajaja gritando a las 7 de la manana. Al otro dia si hize mis tareas y pregunte donde encontraba la playa asi que manejando al oeste de Garden City, pasando el borde de Idaho encontre la bellisima playa Northshore con sus aguas color turquesa, sus arenas suaves y sus kilometros de agua bajita para que los ninos nadaran.Ese dia fui la babisitter asiganada, ya que mis hermanas no les gusta nadar, asi que nade y jugue hasta que los deditos se volvieron pasita. Prometi volver pero ya mas preparada en unas semanas mas con mi amiga cecibel. Estar cerca del lago siempre trae recuerdos lindos de caburga y las vacaciones de Chile. Lindos recuerdos me llevo de este viaje !

Marina de Bear lake, en nuestro intento de encontrar la playa,gaste mas de 2 horas para darme cuenta que la playa se habia inundado y ahora habia que ir a otra playa a media hora de Bear lake cruzando el borde de Idaho :)
