Chilean bread GFCF

Happy to say "I"M GETTING CLOSER TO A VERY GOOD BREAD". Been in a gluten free diet had been so Hard! because CHILEAN people's diet is base in bread. We came back from work everyday for a "Tea Time" called ONCE! where you will find in your table different kinds of breads, my mom lemon cake, jam, butter, fresh tomatoes with spices and cilantro, different kind of bread and turkey and ham. We tried many many breads recipes, bread flour, gluten free bread bought in the store and Yes always the same bad taste in the end, kind of cake bread, or bread with a clam flavor in the end yucks! Most of the recipes in Internet call for eggs and yogurt or oil, but our PAN AMASADO bread is a different very similar to an Italian home made bread, Hard outside soft inside and doesn't have eggs, so after maybe 20 different bad experiences with bread recipes I came up with these one. You can make it in 8 rolls or one big bread for slices or 2 baguette french bread great for appetizers! just throw in the end of the pan some corn meal flour to have a different texture.(for the baguette just add 2 egg whites)

The best flour ever is JULES FLOUR http://www.julesglutenfree.com/ you can make anything with this flour, pancakes, cakes, calzones rotos, dounuts etc. She is so kind enough to post a video in youtube to prepare your own flour http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYjBwI20FVY I will make a separate post for my flour. So here is the recipe for bread.

Pan amasado chileno
3 cups of flour, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoon of sugar mixed with the package of yeast and 1/4 cup of warm water, 2 tablespoon of butter melted,2 eggs whites(optional), 1 tbs vinager, 1 1/4 cup warm water. Mix and bake. Put the bread to rise in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes in 200 temp. then bake for about 20 minutes to 30 minutes depending in the oven. enjoy!

  2. As i cant take yeast, can I replace it with baking powder? If possible, how much baking powder should I use instead?

Thank and hope to hear from you soon.
